I rented a property through Goview London in 2014 and was pretty disappointed from the outset. The salesman Chris was very good showing me round the property and answering questions although the flat had just been refurbished and the pictures on the advert had a very new but completely different bathroom. I asked the question if there had been any leak or damp problems in the property and why the bathroom had been redone and the response was that the landlord just likes to keep it fresh and that there was no leak or damp problems. After moving in I found out from inventory management company who came to do the check in that the reason the previous tenant had only stayed there for 1month was because the bathroom flooded due to bad sewage piping and the damp in the flat was bad. When I questioned Goview about this (they were also the property managers) they denied all knowledge and said the salesman wasn’t aware of those facts and that’s why he didn’t tell me when I asked. I’m sorry but this is a small letting agents so I find it hard to believe they wouldn’t share that information.
Anyhow that was the start of a troublesome year where I found the property manager at the time (Jack) very rude and hard to deal on numerous occasions and the communication between goview and the landlord was very poor. One time somebody had come into the property without us knowing to complete some non-emergency work as somebody else had a key. We noticed as they’d been going through our things to find something heavy enough to hold some floor boards down that they had glued
I wouldn’t use them again
